Terms of use

By creating a page or using one, you agree to these terms. They are written to be read.

Your page

• Create a page only for an event or a person you have the right to share, such as a family member, or with their family’s blessing.
• You are responsible for what you publish. Do not post unlawful, hateful, harassing or misleading content, or other people’s private information.
• You own your content. You allow us to store and show it as you direct.

Events and payment

• Each event is paid for separately, for 1, 3 or 12 months. Prices are shown on the pricing page.
• Payment is a one-time Paystack payment by mobile money or card, made in advance. There is no automatic renewal, and we do not charge you again unless you choose to renew.
• We email you reminders 7 days and 2 days before your time ends and on the day it ends, and a receipt after each payment.
• When your time ends, your QR code and page send visitors to the homepage. If you renew within 90 days, everything comes back. After 90 days we delete the page content and the programme file. We email you a deletion warning 30 days and 7 days before that happens.

Your programme file

• Upload a programme only if you have the right to share it, including any text, names and images in it.
• Anyone who scans your QR code or visits your page can download it.
• We may remove a file that breaks the law or these terms. To report one, write to privacy@occasionally.example.

Tributes and guests

Tributes are held for your approval before they appear. You decide what is shown on your page. Guests agree not to post anything they do not have the right to share.

Donations

• Donations are paid through Paystack to us, and we pass them on to the mobile money number you give us. What you receive is each donation less what Paystack charges to process it and any platform fee shown in your dashboard.
• We pay out by hand, in batches, not instantly. [Payout timing to be confirmed before launch.] Your dashboard shows what is waiting and what has been paid.
• We check the name registered to your number with Paystack when you save it. You are responsible for the number being yours and for it staying correct, because we cannot recover a payment sent to the wrong number. We may hold a payout we have reason to doubt.
• Donations are voluntary gifts and are not refundable by us. You are responsible for any taxes that apply to you.

Taking things down

We may remove content or pages that break these terms or the law, and will tell you when we can. You can delete your page or account at any time. See the privacy policy for what is kept afterwards.

The service

We work to keep pages available but cannot promise uninterrupted service, and we are not liable for losses beyond what the law requires. We may update these terms; we will change the date above when we do.
